Just a little bit about me;

I enjoy the outdoors and tend to get involved in a wide variety of outdoor sports (running, swimming, cycling, kite surfing etc). I am by nature a confident person, easy to talk to and have a good sense of humour. Career wise, I am successful at what I do and probably more importantly I am passionate about my work.

The advice below is a just a bit of fun but is also pretty relevant.

Don't show us photos of you and some other guy, we don't want to see your ex. It reminds us that there is / was another man in your life. We're shallow creatures and truly believe that you have exclusively saved yourself for us.

There seems to be a disturbing new photo theme rearing it's head.

Dramatic self portraits in bathrooms.

This by itself isn't necessarily disturbing. It is the toilet in the background that is a little off putting. I don't think men want to see toilets in the background when gazing adoringly for the first time at the new love in their life.

PS. Have just seen a photo which had a pair of black panties (those granny type ones) lurking in the background. The well worn bloomers were clearly drying off on a cupboard door handle. There was also a towel hanging from the corner of the same cupboard door. My cunning intuition is telling me that the lady in question had a bath, washed her brooks and then took a dramatic self portrait. Enough said.

No Photos
If you don't have a photo you have to make a convincing case. You should therefore be able to string more than 20 words together. Bear in mind that a man has clicked on your profile in expectation of learning a bit about you without actually seeing you (an act of great courage).

Must love cats / dogs etc:
For those of you who insist on the above, you need a reality check. What’s more important loving your dog or loving you? Come on get a grip.

When Mailing:
Don't ask personal and awkward questions at first. Us men are notoriously sensitive to being probed before we've even met. We know that as our romance blossoms like a fruity wine will have to let you in.

This next point should really be obvious! Don't mail prospective husbands when you have been drinking. While the grammar, spelling and brutal honesty is fantastic and very entertaining it doesn't really show off your best side. I've received some very special messages composed at 3am!
